At i-Card, we value your contributions to our network as much as the information that you entrust to us. Therefore, we have crafted the policy below to simply, yet effectively convey how we obtain, manage, and use your information to bring you a professional networking tool.

Introduction

i-Card is a contextual computing smartphone app platform designed to help grow your network in a way that is safe and secure, yet innovative and effective in staying accessible to others in your professional nexus. i-Card's mission is to connect personal and business associates with one another, by using a simple QR Code scanning method from one smartphone to another. Your privacy is important to us and we therefore endeavor to protect your personal information and will only provide it to third parties with your consent. This Privacy Policy applies to all our apps, services, features, software and website (together, “Services”). We may modify the Privacy Policy periodically, but all revisions will be available in this section for all users to review. If you object to any changes, you may close your account and discontinue use of our Services at any time. Continued use of our Services after we publish a notice about any changes to this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement means that you consent to the change.

1. Collected Information

Our Privacy Policy applies to any smartphone app user. We collect information when you use our Services to provide you with a unique way to grow your professional network.

1.1. Data Controllers

All information provided to or collected by our Services is controlled by i-Card, 424 Pembrook Lane, Chattanooga, TN 37421. If you have concerns about providing information to us or having such information used by our Services as outlined in this Privacy Policy, you should not activate an account or otherwise use our Services.

1.2. Registration with i-Card

During personal i-Card account creation, you must provide: Your full name, Email address, Username, Mobile number and Password. Additionally, you may opt in to have your phone’s contacts synced to the app in order to create a single collective location for contact information. Please note that syncing your contacts does not create users for those contacts you wish to sync. When creating a corporate account, you must provide: A main email address, Username, Company name, Contact person, Industry, Office phone number and Password. In addition to these minimum requirements, you must also agree to adhere to our User Agreement and this Privacy Policy which dictates how we use your information We are continuously evolving our Services to include new features and better ways to connect to the world which will potentially change the way we collect data from our users.

1.3 Messaging

i-Card users may utilize our Services to communicate with other members and businesses for such purposes as work chat groups, order placement, transactions, appointment information, delivery and shipping notifications, product and service updates, and any upcoming marketing information. However, should you wish to limit the amount of marketing information, or any other type of information, from being sent to you, you may mange these communication within your account settings. i-Card is a professional app and prohibits the use of the app for any illegal activity. All users agree to use i-Card without breaking any laws of their domicile country. i-Card does not, and will not, retain your messages during your use of our Services. Once a message has been successfully delivered, it is deleted from our servers.

2. Information Usage

Use of our Services constitutes an agreement between i-Card and yourself that the information you provide on your profile can be seen by those to whom you share your credentials as described in this Privacy Policy and our User Agreement.

2.1. Consent to i-Card Information Usage

Additionally, by using our Services, you are expressly and voluntarily accepting the terms and conditions of our User Agreement and accepting and agreeing to allow i-Card to process and store of your personal information as outlined by this Privacy Policy. All submitted information shall be considered voluntarily and should be scrutinized by you prior to usage of our Services. You are under no contractual obligation to continue using our Services and may modify or withdraw, or completely delete your account at any time.

2.2. Product Development

i-Card uses your information and account preferences in our quest to help continuously innovate and evolve our product. This research creates more effective networking tools and provides a custom-tailored experience to our Users on an individual basis.

2.3. Sharing Information with Third Parties

At i-Card, our goal is to help our Users better connect with the world without sacrificing their privacy in the process. We do not share any of your personal information without first gaining your consent. Your credentials are kept safe and hidden from online search results and are only available when you share them with your contacts. It is completely up to the User to decide how and to whom his or her information will be shared with. The level of visibility between Users is set by those users and is completely customizable depending on the degree of connection they have. We do not rent or sell personal information to outside agencies, businesses, or other third parties. We will not publish any information that you store on your profile. Any information a User stores with i-Card is considered proprietary to that specific User and will not be abused as outlined in this Policy.

2.4. Compliance with Legal Process and Other Disclosures

It may be necessary to disclose a User's personal information or activity on our Service if we feel we are under legal obligation to do so, or should i-Card, in good faith, believe disclosure is necessary to prevent illegal activities, enforce our User Agreement, protect i-Card from third party attacks or allegations, or protect the interests of our Users. We may disclose your personal information if compelled to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if necessary, to enforce our User Agreement. If there is a change in control of sale of all or part of i-Card, we may share your information with a third party, who will have the right to use that information in line with this Privacy Policy

2.5. Disclosures to Third Parties as the Result of a Change in Control or Ownership i-Card

We may disclose your personal information to a third party in the event of a sale of i-Card or its assets or as the result in a shift in company control in preparation of said events. Any third party to which such a sale or control shift could occur would therefore have the right to continue to use User information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3. Your Preferences & Obligations

You may update your i-Card account information at any time by editing content or by simply discontinuing your account with us.

3.1. Right of Access, Edit, or Delete Information and Closure of Account

You will have the right to access, edit, or delete any information that is controlled by i-Card and the right to terminate your account without any sort of reasonable delay. We strive to immediately remove your account from our public search database within 48 hours from the deletion request.

3.2. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as your account remains active or if deemed necessary by i-Card. Possible cases that necessitate data retention are, but not limited to, legal obligations, regulatory requirements, fraud prevention, user protection, or in order to uphold this Privacy Policy or our User Agreement.

4.1 Future Growth

Our plans at i-Card are to continuously grow the Services we provide to our users in a way that is tailored to the professional needs of each individual. As a result, it is necessary for this Privacy Policy to change alongside our Services to explain new processes and continue to protect our users.

4.2 Security

We have taken as many economically feasible steps as possible in order to protect your personal information that is consistent with industry standards. Access to your i-Card account is password protected. We cannot, however, completely ensure or warrant that your information will not be obtained, altered, published, or deleted by breach of our physical or virtual safeguards. It is your responsibility to create a strong password that is not easily guessed and, more importantly, not shared with anyone else. The confidentiality of your personal information is important to us. Therefore, we plan to continue updating our security protocol to remain a safe and reliable choice for professional networking.

4.3. Safe Harbor

We comply with the U.S.-E.U. Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the United States Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal data from countries within the European Union and Switzerland.
